I used spray on primer on mine then just painted over the top of it. I'll probably try out gesso some time but the primer worked great.

Final art, what works well for me is gluing on a canvas cover then painting it. Won't chip and lasts.

For padding, a while back someone posted some cool knee or elbow pads that they sewed together with foam inside as the padding. You could just as easily stuff them with cloth or whatever like a period helm liner but the biggest thing would be making them covered instead of ugly volleyball type pads.

The biggest problem with that is there's no way for us to determine whether we need the AED or monitor til we get someone hooked up so it would have to come off regardless. Personally I wouldn't destroy someone's stuff over a broken arm or something. If I have time to take an extra two minutes to ca...

If someone is in cardiac arrest, I would cut the straps off. Most EMS personnel at an event site don't have experience in armor or being around it so I'm pretty confident that my medics here at work will say the same thing. Straps are easy to replace. Your life is not. For a non life threatening inj...

I was doing it with p90x and saw some serious improvement to flexibility, balance and strength. I found the hardest part of it for me was getting into a slower, calmer mental mindset because I was doing high intensity for the rest of my workouts.

A couple years ago at the Ladies Schlager tourney at Estrella there was a household of ladies wearing black velvet musketeer like outfits and they looked great. I would much rather have them around than goth kids or anime cosplayers.
