It doesn't help that for years and years finger gauntlets were banned (iirc) and considered to be worthless. But hey hockey gloves were a ok.

The lesson really ought to be that you should clean your gear every now and again so the inside is not a battleground of biological warfare. You can get alcohol wipes to disinfect stuff. It evaporates quick and clean and kills all that stuff.

The phrase was coined because they used to put people over a barrel and flog them. Or dunk them in boiling oil if you didn't give in to their demands. Etc. It implies being powerless and helpless to the nefarious designs of another person.

To a person who is not knowledgeable the foam would sound more safe.

Cord for arming points?

This is a question I've been meaning to ask for a while but I wasn't at the point where I really needed to yet. I am going to need a bunch of cool arming points for my 14th century kit, but I am not sure a) what sort of string to use, for lack of a better word, and b) appropriate methods of braiding...

I just hated the tied strap on mine. Granted, the helm was a) not made for me and a little big and b) the strap was not installed by me either. I just had problems tying the damn thing and keeping it tight.

Illusion seems to be a huge hit and miss too. At best you could wait a ridiculous amount of time to get a helmet that's just as nice from somebody else here on the AA.

Severe potassium deficiency can cause paralysis, so that's what I'd point my finger to as well. Bananas, apricots, oranges, tomatoes and pineapple are good sources of potassium. There's a huge list though if you just google potassium rich foods so chances are you'll find something you like.

I have had Ulruch as a customer and my experience with him has been very positive. I also ordered my helm through KWT recently and while it isn't complete yet, communication has been excellent. I will be posting a review as soon as I get my helm but I'd have no problem ordering more stuff from them.
