There are only a few armorers that I can think of who are making them with fingers that ground against the haft. Darkheart armory is the one that comes immediately to mind but they are pricey. (Worth every penny though)

Sometimes though when you send in something that is perfectly acceptable, there might be one or two people who just enjoy niggling submissions to death and look for reasons to reject them. I am working on passing a badge and even as an experienced herald I had people come back with some reasons to r...

Having equestrian stuff at SCA events is awesome, I don't think anyone would argue with that. But it is hard to find sites as it is sometimes and the ones that are set up for having horses are a lot fewer in number than the ones that aren't. It's just logistically more difficult to deal with. Having...

Just an FYI to my customers.

I have a couple trades and paid orders pending. I will be working on them before I go to work tuesday, but I will be leaving to go to Phoenix for Yehuda's service on thursday. Communication will be spotty with me for a couple days and it is gonna delay my filling orders a little.

Re: Need help with 14c period clothing

I am new to the SCA and would like to find period clothing to buy for specifically the 14th century (high medieval) time frame. I don't want to disrespect my group by purchasing something that is innapropriate. If anyone can direct me to a website and more specifically what to look for and what not...

Yes, but as Ceddie stated the camail was already replaced. :\ So I'm not sure what you guys would like to do. I wouldn't charge more than $25 in a non charitable auction type deal. Small banner auction to benefit Master Andrixous's camail

Greetings. I am putting a small cross of St. George silk banner up for auction with the proceeds going to help replace Master Andrixous's camail that was stolen at Pennsic. It is about 20" square, simple white field with the red cross of St. George. It is made of china silk like all my banners ...

I have a small St. George's cross banner I can auction. It is the only pristine piece of an ill fated banner I had to redo. I could have it done when I get home friday if anyone is interested. It's about 20" square.

A jigsaw and a BBQ. :) I made a paper template, cut the plastic and put it on a cookie sheet on the grill. Then I just formed it to my leg. I cleaned up the edges a bit with a box knife then glued fabric on both sides and sewed on the edging to make them look neatly finished.

Delicious grilled greaves.

Cooked myself up greaves this week. I'm pretty happy with the shape overall, though one of them turned out a little weird on the bottom. All that remains is putting on the splints and straps. Their covered in red canvas but the color is a little washed out from the flash. http://i538.photobucket.com...
