I am going to put some nice shaped splints on the outside so I'm probably not going to paint them, but just stain them nicely. I want thinking of doing some neat painting to the dagged decorated bit on the bottom of the knee though since I have lots of experience with 14th century manuscript motifs....

Here's a pic from the post your harness thread. It's pretty much what I am trying to make.

What I am trying to figure out is what is the best/proper way to attach the cop to the greave and upper leg so that the leg harness is all one piece?

Yes, but I have a couple people to do still though. Feel free to send me an email at silkbanners@gmail.com to talk about what you'd like.
I am trying to clear up my queue in the next week.

Update: For some reason I got my days of the week all wrong and I got off work monday morning, not sunday. Soooo, I'm shipping a load of banners tomorrow. They're all heat setting in the dryer right now. Tonight I am going to get them rinsed and sew the ties on so I can send them. Here's what's goin...

Doing some thread necromancy so I can ask a question about construction. I am not sure where exactly the elbows and knees should be attached to the leather so that the limb protection as a whole moves smoothly and doesn't bind or act weird. I hope I'm not asking a dumb question but I don't want to m...

Our marquee is a great tent, but it has a ton of poles. But, it can take high winds and cruddy weather no problem, and the panther super ground cloth and overlapping bits on the bottom of the walls with the square shape mean it buttons up tight in soggy conditions too. Two people can put it up but i...

Measuring your head for a helm.
I need to take some measurements for the helm I'm ordering but I'm not sure what the best way to do it is. I have to measure the width of my noggin front to back and side to side. Should I stick my head between bookends or something to do this?

I just finished yours today, so it's getting shipped out in a little while when I head to the post office. Got a pic of it too. It's coming up on storm season around here so it was nice and windy. My poor daughter got stuck holding the banner pole on this monster. http://i538.photobucket.com/albums/...

Isabella, I'll get some more shots next time I remember to take the camera to the shop. Be warned they have some flaws as they where my first attempt at a raised one piece design and have been used and modified for the past couple of years. Dafydd, my friend thank you for the kind words, I owe you ...
