I wore the boots to fight in today and the vibram soles worked out great. No slipping on damp grass but still feel low profile.

It's lined with linen, so I think it's just too much fabric. I'm going to take them out and see.

Need advice. 14th c cote. Gores vs no Gores.

So, I am working on this cote for coronation. It's the first time I've used the RH pattern, but it turned out pretty well so far (and considering my inexpert and messy sewing skills). I am however not sold on the side gores so I am reaching out to the internets for opinions. At this point, the botto...

Everything is hot as hell when the temp climbs past 105. This spring I will make some cooler stuff but we are into nicer weather for the next month or so. It won't be bad right now.

Review: Viking Leathercrafts, 14th century boots, buckles...

So I wanted to get some pics before I put my review together. I did that today. Here goes! Frank and I traded for another banner. On my end, I got the 3 buckle 14th century boots, some strap leather and brass buckles. I'm really happy with everything. The strap leather is high quality and the edges ...

I've also seen Duke Jonathon von Trotha fight with inverted greatsword a number of times as well. There's enough people doing in in Atenveldt that you should't have any trouble finding people to give you some instruction.

Re: Openings in silk banner queue for the holidays.

Do you ever do 'design consultations' for those who want to make the banner themselves, or can't afford your (EXTREMELY reasonably priced) work? I have a very simple, almost boring heraldry, and while I would love to make a banner for myself, am really puzzled as to what to do with the rest of the ...

The knees are well made and articulate properly. They were made by a reputable armorer here in Atenveldt. The gorget is a size large, made to fit up to an 18" neck.

Re: WTB Used Aluminum Shield Basket <$40

If you're making wooden shields, you can countersink your fasteners but it can really weaken the shield. I've seen some people's baskets tear out after very little use that way. The flattest fastener IMO would be nails as solid rivets. But to be honest if you cover your shield in fabric and paint it...
