What would shipping to Marietta, GA on 10 of those run?

...or will you be at Gulf Wars in March?

Simple is best. :) Nothing fancy to ruin, and keeps cost down.

I think I paid $2.50 each for these back about 8 years ago at a Mountain Man encampment I went to see as a spectator.

What could you make 'em for each?

Here's what I have. Looks like it was made from standard square bar stock. And I was right... They are 24" long.

WTB: Hand Forged 24" Tent Stakes

I'm looking to purchase several 24" (or thereabouts) hand forged iron tent stakes. I already have a few this size, and I prefer them over the 12" ones I see everywhere I've looked so far. Anybody offer them, or know where I can get them? Nothing fancy...just a black iron bar, pointed at on...

I am assuming she is a "heavy" fighter, and not fencing, right? I'm sure she can easily get her dance card filled at Gulf Wars. The pick up fighting there is awesome. I'd be happy to give her some pointers, even if I'm not in armour. I used to be a knight marshal, and taught many a new and...

Thanks for all the opinions, folks.

Yes, I know I *could* make the poles and ropes. I even have all the tools to do so.

I just don't have the time (before Gulf Wars) to do so. Too much other stuff to do. 8)

Just checked out Fall Creek. Nice looking tents. However, I am not seeing an option for a ground cloth.

Nor do they apparently offer the poles.

I do like their stake puller and lantern arm though. 8)

Wall Tent Reviews?

I'm seriously considering getting a Wall Tent. Fits a variety of periods, up through the American Civil War, all the way back to Roman times. I'm not asking for a debate on whether or not they are period, or who makes the most period looking one. I'm asking who makes the best QUALITY ones. I'm consi...

I've had long hair and a goatee for about 20 years now. So, that's not a problem. I pretty much stick to the 10' rule. If at 10' I look pretty much "period" that's good enough for me. I don't care if I use cotton thread or linen. *shrug* I just don't have the time OR the money to make ever...

I've been doing this since 1984 or so.

I'll say that I've actually seen fighting get *lighter*, not heavier, over the years. But, then again, I'm in Meridies. So, take that for what it is worth.

I also highly suggest, if you are going to machine wash it, you only use a *front loading* machine, and on "cold" and "delicate". They don't have an agitator to tear up the fabric.

If you don't have one...go down to the laundromat.

And, as stated...AIR dry.
