Asbrand, I am assuming you want an XL mild flat riveted hauberk? If so, I will go $595 with the stimulus sale I am running. How does that sound? Ice Sounds good. Is that the same for the blackened one? Not a fan of shiny metal. Also...how much is shipping on those....? I know they aren't lightweight.

I've actually personally witnessed a knight claiming that any shots that hit his white belt don't count.

Admittedly, this was a rather long time ago...but it did happen. I wasn't the only witness either.

My SCA personna is 10th century norse. I'm in the process of making a leather lamellar body armour, and would like to have a 14ga chain hauberk to put on under it, just to make it look better, etc. It will be a while before I can even think of ordering something like this...but I'd like to get an id...

Many many moons ago, at a Meridian event called "Giant's Dance" (of which I was the autocrat this particular time), I witnessed a lady fighter take a cup shot from a two-handed sword thrust almost directly on her pubic bone. We had to carry the poor lass off the field. I can only *imagine*...

Just as an FYI - my wife's relatives sent her a package from Russia back in like June. It finally arrived in October. Almost 4 months delay...

If someone can't seem to figure out why they can't do well against an opponent, studying an opponent's moves on video in much the way you described above is, well, bypassing the learning curve. Better hope I never become king. Dual Daggers only. Yes...I'm joking. Before anyone gets their panties in a twist. Honestly...I'd like to see a "no shields" crown tourney. Any other style is fine...but no shield. That'd take out about 1/2 of the "good ole boy" network right there...
