I saw at Gulf Wars that By My Hand had a pre-made hilt . It was a wheel pommel and Quillions connected by steel straps. It looked like...

A mighty nice outfit. i like the stamping on the belt. Here in the states i've not been able to find anything that doesn't look "Western" couse, you know, they only did that in the "Ole West". :(

And hilt size is very personal. They aren't a one-size-fits-all thing. From the look of the one in the picture, I'd have to strip the covering and shave it down.

Its left over from a nice, straight piece of 1 3/8" ish rattan that has been sitting around in the garage since September. I think its pretty dried. Cut and shaved nicely.

Ah! I see. We all thought you were laceing the front from top to bottom.

As Tasha said: Tie a knot thicker than the eyelet and thread so that knot is on the inside of the top-most eyelet. Lace down and when you get to the bottom tie off and tuck inside if you like.

First time I saw a 45" blade I told the guy he needed a trusting tip on it.

Still useing a 36" blade. I lived throught the arms race and was unaffected by it.

Zen warior has blades about 36" long.

Although my 4'11" wife dosen't wear it, she just replaced her darkwood 38" blade with a 42" darkwwod. :D

I've never had a problem with roofing nails being too hard. They have always seemed pretty soft to me.
