A paternoster is something I have been meaning to make for my wife.
I hadn't realised that paternosters couldbe all ten decades, like a modern rosery.

You could also scallop the top edge of the camail/aventail strap. I too wanted to add a little something to a plain strap. As a rapier fighter I really really hate that there is this sudden growth in pirate persona! Most of whom, dress OOP. Privateers, as pointed out by His Grace, carry a Letter of Marque from their Crown.

Dayum, thats purdy. Where do I sign up to get one? TIm Or you can be completely insane and make one yourself!! I've been working on mine for Oh maybe 8 months now. Sewed 16 eyelets yesterday, 4 more today. That's only 26 more! Believe me, whatever Tasha and Klaus charge, it is worth it.

After initially installing the quillions I noticed that they loosened up with use. I used the shims sold to lock in the hammer head to the wood handle. I cut them down, coated them with wood glue and drove them into the gap. It has not failed .

Just to stir the pot, An Tir recently gave a Laurel for equestrian activities to a man who (among many other things) does SCA Jousting. As a rapier fighter I would not like to see a fighter knighted primarally for his skill in rapier. A knight is someone who has sworn to defend his king/kingdom in war.
