As I posted elsewhere on the board today: I ordered a pair of spaulders, 3 lame elbows and 5 lame knees on Sunday and received the items by USPS Thurseday. According to the Aluminum Association's Aluminum Standards and Data Book 6061-0 will annealat 750F if held at temp for 2-3 hours. It's not the temper it's the alloy.

I don't know of any of the big Service Centers who stock 6061-0

Not a great picture, but this is me in my burgonet .

The perf plate is attached to the bevor and replaces the falling buff. There is a pin riveted to the center top of the perf plate and sets into a hole in the visor. The face plate (perf plate attached to bevor)is strapped to the helm.
