Just picked up my new Lewis Moore Klapvisored bascinet from the US post office.

What a sharp helm! And a steal too! I won the auction on Friday morning. Lewis added the cheeck plates and shipped by early Friday afternoon. If someone had been home on Monday, I would have had it then!!

Thank you all for the quick replies. Actually, I'm content with foam-fighting in Dagorhir, as I'm "old" (nearly 38), small, light, weak, and slow. I have never been athletic, and I have never taken martial arts. I joined Dagorhir only 9 months ago. I'm not tough enough for rattan combat, let alone ...

Canvac. Its available in gallon bottles and is applied with a brush. Available through Panther Primatives and Cabela's. I've also seen it at Galyan's. I think Cabela's is cheeper than Panther. Thinking about it, it does give you an idea of where are values lie though. Nice period tents, while more common, are still far from the norm. Its a shame that there isn't enough social capital tied up in having a "period" encampment that folks aren't competing to have him there. Offering him space...

Re: How do you use Hist (large footprint) Tents at Pennsic?

Arrrrrrrgh! My 9' x 9' mitered square marquee tent is NOT usable at Pennsic because the guylines put it OVER the 12' x 12' space allocation per person! This sucks!!! Well, how do you single-camping Pennsic veterans manage this issue? Cheers, Tim 12 x 12 = 144 square feet. Pennsic allots 250 square ...
