Sebastion: The exception and not the rule. Yes it is not commonplace, yet it is still a comment that I have heard from time to time, particularly when folks are teaching newbies about the leg wound system (as in, "You know, it's weird, but some people fight better from their knees"). A better exampl...

I'll have to check my records, but I believe that htis is the lady who promised me my gambeson for Pennsic (quite a while before Katrina, I might add). Never got the goods, and was out $200. I won't trust her until my gambeson shows up.

Paul,

1st: Do you have any pics of the back of the breastplate?

2nd: Have you already sent my legs and half-guants off?

3nd: If no, then maybe we should add the breastplate.

4th: If yes, then please send me the shipping info.

I have conditioned my body to function comfortably with decreased volume of oxygen. IMO, that is the most important part of living an active life with asthma. It is both attitude and physical conditioning. The constrictive, choking, out-of-breath feel prompts most people to become anxious or panic....

<cracks knuckles> Funny you should ask about this. Starting last spring, I found myself having increasing trouble with my wind during practice. As the temperatures rose, it got increasingly worse until I was truly suffering after only 4 or 5 bouts. I was exhausted, chest burning, and had developed a...

I'm a bit cautious about falling down now since I damaged a tendon in my left knee falling after a blow a few years ago. As I was falling, my foot slid out from underneath me and my knee made a nasty popping sound. No fighting for three months after that and a leg brace for even longer.

Stupid longsword tricks: dupliere really does look like a magic trick. A rising krumpau from right nebenhaut often comes up under the guy's shield -- start in right neb., flip over to left neb. and swing up while running to the right. Do not stop running or the guy will tag you if you didn't connect...

I send him money and a few days later, a quality product (in this case a SS welded aventail) shows up on my door. It is so nice to deal with professionals.

Thanks Knuut!
