This old man, he played one,
He played knick-knacks on his drum,
    With a nick-knack, paddy-whack,
    Give a dog a bone,
This old man came rolling home!

Here is King Phillip's invalid chair.

More of a recliner than a chaise longue, but it looks like someone who knew what they were doing could create something along those lines, and it would be reasonably portable.

Sounds like what you're calling the new woods battle area is actually a return to the old. Causeways through the dense woods, with a few small open areas, near the brook?

I tried soaking it but that did very little good. I recently acquired a heat gun, though . . . would that be a good avenue for applying heat to bend rattan?

Are you asking how to incorporate the boss into the blazon?

you don't have to. You can ignore the presence of the boss and simply blazon it as if it wasn't there.

Your best bet would be what Saritor gave you. If you want to submit it, leave the hurt out or make it plain.

Another potential tranny-saver for a vehicle not meant for towing is an auxiliary transmission oil cooler.
