you also has an easy fix. so the sad shouldn't last long.

A few washers and some new rivets and you should be good.

The splint would be an easy fix, but the articulation point is ripped clear to the edge in one direction, and nearly that far in the other. The corner is hanging on by a sliver. The only thing a larger washer or a patch will do is make a larger tear.

It's just as well really. The straps needed replacing anyway. I may as well replace all the leather. I can use the old stuff to make weapons... (ooh. bright side!)

remove the rivets lay out the leather as a pattern for the next piece.

The splints and elbow cop are still good.
If you want to dye the leather to match it may take two or three days.
