Looking at picking up armoring again

Post by Syrfinn »

Well been thinking of this for awhile, and kind of decided i want to get back into making stuff on and off. Primarily for me, since I tend to like to do different kits, plus also to make stuff for my squires, men at arms and anyone that fights in my warband on a normal basis.

Stuff I still have, various normal stuff to keep up armor repairs, but for armoring, rubber mallet, heavy leather hammer, 2 dishing plates, one 6 in and one smaller with a deeper dish. Have a big old solid work bench down in my basement also.

What should I look into picking up also. I have made most of my stuff at one point or another, only needing help with welding, since I never did it seriously, and never had the stuff to do it. So usually had someone else do it for me, if I needed it. Though I would at one point love to be able to learn some basic welding to do my own.

Any help appreciated. As in good place to pick up used stuff, to keep down costs and such.

Thanks

Ya know, Hal has some nice stake kits that are reasonably priced. You might want to consider that..
Planishing stakes are always a good idea if nothing else.
