Hey guys,

I'm a starting armourer from Holland, currently designing and constructing an 1465-70-ish Cuiras

here are a few pic's (more will follow)

a very nice moment after loads of work...

Wow. That looks really good. Ihope to someday have those kind of skills.

This looks to be an excellent start on a Churburg 18 style cuirass. The armour seems very promising, and I certainly look forward to seeing it as it progresses.

nice work! did you make the armour in the background as well? or are you using it to copy from?

the armour on the background is made by a friend and co-worker of mine Wouter Nicolai he's on Armour Archive as well... I'm currently using it as an example

Greeting from another budding novice armourer from Holland called Max K

Looking good. Here's some pictures from an extant 1470's italian breastplate which might help. Do you have someone to teach you or are you doing it by yourself?

yep, part of my old mildsteel armour. This workshop is located in the open air museum Archeon, it is open for public during the summer. So the cuiras is also there for the visitors of the museum.

got some nice pictures of that one! and Wouter is helping me out with some things!! We both work in Archeon and got a nice workshop there...

You have a mentor, a piece to copy and a workshop. In no time you will be flying. I will look forward to seeing more of your work.

haha I'll post more soon lost some pics transferring my hard disk on my new laptop the rest isn't that spectacular though... some vambraces (with couters that are to small =( hate waste of work, but was a good learning project...) If I only had more time for making armour... =)

Study the hammer marks in the last pic.
Perhaps that will give us a clue.
