Cleaning and Degreasing GDFB Mail Coif
Just got a GDFB Riveted/flattened coif to use as a aventail. It is nicely blackened from the factory, and has a nice coat of grease/oil. How do I remove the grease/oil without messing up the nice black finish ?

The Search function is still your friend, Yo.

Also "degreaser" for anything the -ing form missed. Automotive degreasers come in spray bottle form a lot.
And Simple Green can cut a lot of grease too.
