2 afternoon spangenhelm, maybe of interest to newbies?

Post by accdntprone »

Fairly quick and dirty spangenhelm I made for a local Newbie. I cheated and welding in a couple places, but this helm can be made w/out welding. I just needed a hat fast but it would make a good first project I think.

If that's your idea of quick & dirty --
a) Okay, I can see that.
b) Quick & Dirty has come well up in the world these days.

That's gonna be a pretty happy newbie.

Hi Accdntprone,

Nice spangen for 'quick and dirty'!

On a side note, how did you recruit those 9 new fighters and how do you deal with new fighters, who have no armour, and training?

Cheers,

Jan

I didn't recruit them, just helping them get into armor. We have some loaner gear, though nowhere near enough for 9 ppl. I try to get them into helms and hand protection, cause that seems to be the most cost prohibitive and hardest to make for oneself. I also get a lot of mileage out of wisby coat of plates. Training is mostly done by Ack and Susan, though Nissan offers advice and witticisms from time to time.
