I am planning to use a leather shield basket behind my new warshield, but would like to see a couple pics of what you have done before I make my first attempt.

Also: is you leather hardened or just slapped on?

(^_^)
PS: thanks.

I'd harden. Sounds like a great use for largeish scraps. Stitch together, wet-form, arrange in position, bake.

This is a 2 piece design with both pieces resembling a capital "D". The piece above the knuckles has the flat part of the D on the shield. The flat part of the other D follows the curve of the other piece and is laced on.

Two rivets hold it to the handle. Hope than is somewhat clear.
