In this jamb pattern I found on here archive, the weld/center line is shown as a curvy line, but in TOMAR, the weld/center line is basically straight up and down. Is either design any easier to use?
Price also mentions forming the crease from the weld, but doesn't detail how this is done. Would you hammer it like a normal crease, or is the weld ground so as to form a crease?

First part - what does your leg look like? Mine curves. But that assumes you are asking the harder question of whether the crease should be straight when looked at from the front.
There is also the issue of what it looks like from the side. It definitely should not be straight.

Second part - I do them in one piece, so not a problem for me, but if I were to put a weld near a crease, I would form the crease as part of the weld - the pieces would come together at a slight angle, weld and then grind the bead to form the crease.

The obvious alternatives are:
Put the weld somewhere else and crease normally.
Make it in one piece.
