Latest Hammerings

Greetings Everyone,
Phoenix Steel has been hammering away creating new items.
Some Milianese style finger gauntlets.
A close up of the finger tips.
This pair is made from heat treated 18ga stainless steel. The finger tips do ground out. This pair is especially useful for those who like the dexterity of fingers but want the protection of a clamshell. In one of the photos, the fingers are sticking well past the end of the lame. I wanted to get an idea of what it would look like and the fingers kept falling off the hand. I think next time I might try tying them down instead of just using the weight of the gauntlet.

Here are some Gothic Pauldrons.
Here is a pic of the mini-couter.
And one of the new vanbraces.
These are all heat treated stainless.

Waldryk's specialty, a new Sallet.
This sallet has a lift visor and a floating bevor.

Custom cut baskethilts

The latest piece we're offering, custom cut baskethilts.
We will be offering these in each of the Kingdom Populace badges and in their fighting orders. We can do individual devices for a small additional charge. Please realize that not all devices translate well to being cut out and we may have to modify the layout or focus on one or two charges. We can mix and match the halves and as seen here in different sizes; small, medium, and large. No longer will you have to suffer with a basket too big or too small or the same ole bars or plain cups.

Nakos, very nice work!
Any possibility of just the fingers of the Milanese gauntlets being offered for sale? Perhaps with optional knuckle gadlings, even?
Love the basket hilts, too!

I really like them all, but the vambraces are just outstanding.

Vilhelm,
Are you looking for just the fingers or the whole gauntlet minus the cover lame for the fingers?
We are looking setting up a finger kit without the cover lame and the knuckle gatlings.
Thanks on the baskethilts. The ones in these photos were our proto types. We've gone back and beefed up all the webs and bars as well as learned just how close we can do line cuts without cracking the steel or distorting the design during hammering.

I'm looking for grounding fingers (tip, long plate and first knuckle gadling, and possibly second long plate). I have thumb plates, so just need 8 finger assemblies in 18 ga. stainless steel. I have a project in my head....

Insane,
Right now we are looking at the Kingdom and Fighting Badges at around $100. Custom outside of that or Individual Devices at $120, to cover the time to digitize that pattern and any R&D cuttings we may have to do.
There is a discount of $10 for anyone who turns in an old basket, plastic or metal.
Also, right now until May 15th, we will be taking an additional $20 off in Honor of Waldryk's marriage to his Lady Doe.

I wouldn't ask for gadlings on gaunts of that model -- they are derived from some 15th-c. historical art for munitions gaunts and the type really doesn't need, nor conform especially well to, any knuckleduster attachments. They are intended to be simple yet effective munition coverage, and if they succeed at protecting hands in polearm and greatweapon matches, they'll be revolutionary.
Such work is wonderful to see. Even more wonderful were I to afford it... gotta get busy...

As cool as those gauntlets are, they don't fit my persona.
However, the design of the grounding finger plates, I find appealing.
I need something like the fingers on a Wisby style gauntlet for a project I have in mind. I already have thumb assemblies...I just lack finger assemblies.
The grounding fingertips and long plates, combined with a deep gadling, and perhaps a second long plate, would fit my project nicely.
I wouldn't want gadlings on those particular gauntlets, but I do want the grounding finger assemblies of those particular gauntlets.

Well then I'm sure we can work something out. If you have access to one of our other cut baskets, check to make sure the design will fit. When I get home I'll look up the space available and shoot you the dimensions.
