weight is 50.9Kg or 112lbs and is not in bad condition
cast rather than forged but we have a larger one with the same KL on but no numbers that seems like this ones big brother and it is a good anvil.
next need to go to Iforgeiron to ask if anyone knows the maker

Nice find.
Now you will have to feed and take care of it.

BTW... too bad you guys don't have any roadrunners.

we have lots of anvils here and that is why roadrunners and coyote's are rare

I own 4 of about 1cwt to 1.5cwt and a much smaller one so I have a long way to go to catch up with some here.
will make it a comfortable stand and try it next time the forge is in use

KL is an English made offshoot of Mousehole forge. Peter Wright was one of their employee's before forming his own company. He was the one who pioneered the process of cast body, welded face anvils.

It likely dates back to around 1900-1920. Not much is known about KL, they certainly didn't last long as a company.

Its analogous to a "Vulcan" or "Fisher" anvil.

Then it is not like a Fisher or Vulcan as they have a cast iron body and so are "silent anvils".
