Post by doner765 »

thank you for your interest:)
i've been working quite a bit the past 2 weeks and im able to show up a little progress;)
i'm done with the major stuff, now i need to make many buttonholes for the lacing and the laces. After that is done ill need a day to clean the surface and get rid of all these loose threads
i'll post more detailed pictures when its completely done, currently its drying from a handwash to remove the blood and coffeestains ;)
i'm planning to take part in the Armour of the Month viewtopic.php?f=9&t=160857

It looks very well made - well done!

Ja -- if it happens anywhere, it would happen there. Not really a very big problem since no swordfighting or polearm-fighting motion calls for you to raise both arms straight up like an American football referee signalling a touchdown (six points!).

I mention American football because some of its protective equipment is pretty good for our SCA stick game -- mainly the smaller kinds of shoulder-pads which come in two types, great-big and smaller.
