Pig Faced Bascinet in Ashville, North Carolina

Post by Talbot »

Anybody know anything about the pig faced bascinet in the Ashville Art Museum in Ashville North Carolina? It was listed in an article in <u>Best of the Hammer #2</b> on page 116.

Is it there? Is it real? Anyone ever seen it? Anyone have a picture?

I didn't know that any such thing existed in Ashville. I'm quite suprised.

I may try to contact the museum, and get some information. If there truly is a helmet there, I may try a road trip. It would be a few hours drive, but not too bad.

Please let me know what you find out about it.

WHAT the hell I have been in that museum and I never saw any such creature and I assure you I would have. Well if it's the museum I think it is? I dont live very far away but trust me after gulf war Ill go up and look. Ill also take pics and ask the guy there if I can hold it and maybe take some armour up to show him so he will be more likely to let me.

I thought people would like to know. I'm really interested if it's true. I need all the technical data available. If anyone finds out anything please let me know.

By the way did anyone actually go to Best of the Hammer #2 and look at the picture? Am I just imagining it?

I live an hour from Asheville, and I've got #2, saw the pic.
I have yet to make the trip to the museum to look for it.
