Oddities in armor and t he habits that cause them

Post by accdntprone »

Recently finished another spangenhelm. Realized that it, and pretty much every spangenhelm I have ever made has the same flat spot where the right ckeekplate meets the brow band. Some to a greater degree, some lessor, but every damn one has a flat spot in the same place. Never the other side. So clearly something that I do by habit creates this flat spot. Last helm I made a point of trying to avoid it. Guess what? Flat spot. Its not like I do anything different with the right side of the face. Never have this flat spot on the left side. Anyone else have similar issues? Or just me? :P
