I typically use 4-5 oz. vegetable tanned leather for armor strapping and belts, or other items that take stress from use. For smaller sorts of straps and lacing projects usually 2-3 oz. will suffice.

Hi, It depends on what im doing, if im doing articulations i use thin 2-3 oz leather and double it up, if Im using it for straps and buckles I use about 8 oz leather.

Sorry, yes - straps and buckles, not articulations.

Gotta strap up a torso, upper arms, and thighs. (sounds kinky)
