Hi guys. Im building this Demi Chamfron and it will be for sale when finished.


Cant decide if I should put the spike on it or not,,,,, I kinda like the spike on my small dished round shield im making also,

spike or no spike? Ill add a rondell or nice plume holder if I dont use the spike.

No spike IMHO, Spikes make the SCA horse people nervous. (probably with good reason) Also, be sure to get dimensions up.

I think the spike looks nice. Horses don't have the instinct to butt, do they? Now if we're talking about spiked horseshoes, then maybe...

Yes they do, The person who buys this needs to put it on the right horse, AND I will make the spike removable for safety in certain surroundings.

Heres a few update pics, Finish pics inc soon,

Im going to do some file work on the brass under the spike, and maybe on the spike ring also, borders on the eye brass and maybe some wiggle work up the center of the eye brass.

Hi guys, I tried my hand at engraving some borders on the eye brass. A little sketchy but came out ok I think. I may add brass strips with engraving on the ears also.

You guys think I should use a triangle file and notch the edges of the spike flange and the brass under it>? Or leave it round>?
