My go to guy for plasma cutting, made one of my old SCA helm kits in 05.
He built it for fun and put it for sale as art, he finally got $2500.00 for it.
Yes the decimal point is in the correct place.
I am in the wrong place.

Umm. Wow. Looks like I have been labeling my stuff wrongly for years... Whenever you see him, shake his hand for me on that one!

The 1st rule of self marketing: If something isn't selling, raise the price. Value is subjective and often attributed to the price-tag on the item. Taste-testers consistantly rate wines with higher price-tags as testing better even when they get poor scores in blind taste testing.
Regardless, he did a nice job with it. I hope he gets more sales.

I know what you mean, my materials for tools have gone up 80%.
I always tried to give good value, but with the price of materials so high it concerns me.
I could use up some old stock but when that runs out I have to charge more.
As far as marking art price to what it is worth, I have a hard time.
I was going to put
this in the $25.00 to $50.00 class at the next art show.
I have found wielding a paint brush is far less stressful than a hammer.
Today I made a piece of metal art for Plasmaman to go on his big aluminum art fish.
It looked like a motorcycle fender to me so I hammered it that way.
My arm and shoulder are ibuprofen, bengay and vodka time.
Best of luck on your quest.

No, he only makes what his clients order and some of his own stuff.
I should give you a link to his web page.
