Welcome to the Archive.

Your armour is coming along quite nicely.
I particularity like the great helm; the design and construction is well executed.

Thanks for the great pics.

Hal

Well done.
May I suggest elbow cops?
I think some drums, flags and horns could keep your squad coherent.

Thanks for the video.

Hal

Nice work as usual.
I really like the Shredder because it looks just like the one I made, and that's awesome.
also, that video of you guys fighting looks pretty fun. I gotta find some people to armour up and wail on each other with.

And you have got friends to come and play -- marvelous! It wouldn't have happened in the Mao era, when I was growing up! (I am nearly 60 now. My beard is mostly gray; my hair is only half of what it was!)

The side view of your back-point (or high point, I really do not know which name is which style) bascinet with the Klappvisier (which is the center hinge visor rather like a leaf with eye holes, and not the houndskull (German: Hundsgugel) which is pointed and may have hinges at the temples) shows an unusually wide camail strap -- not really a bad thing, but it can be 1-2cm narrower if you want. That would put the sewing holes about as far from the vervelle line as the upper edge of the strap is -- saves material. Sometimes camail straps were narrow indeed, like about 2cm across. But that is rare. 3cm; 3,5-4,0cm, more usual.

Hi...I talked to u before... I live in Taiwan and am also trying to start a fighting group. But its very hard to find other interested and able to make or buy armor. Right now I make extra armor and let others use it. I'm a married working man so it's hard to find time to make stuff. I have only had two meetings so far and still need to make more armor... Transporting the armor is difficult! Please add me to facebook

Shaohu,

I sent you a message on Facebook.

Pinoc Chelloo,

Good to see you guys are still active.
Looks like I will be back in China in the Feb / March time frame.
Unfortunately again it is unlikely that I could visit you guys but I may have some more tools to send you.

According to Chinese custom, that I should call you uncle, because my friends tend to be busy, I can temporarily use Google Translate to communicate with you, and other friends have the time, I let them help me translate, really sorry

LOL. Ah, yes, those old days. Mao was trouble for us, you know. Only Ho Chi Minh was more trouble.

Speaking of friends and translating, your friend Foglia's English is coming along well. It is improving every day.

I like to use a military duffle bag or seabag (same thing). Heavy canvas, US military olive green color, shaped about like a sausage or a spring-roll, about a meter and a half long and large enough to shove all of a suit of armor into with a bit of intelligent arranging. Works well for moving armor using public transit. They have shoulder straps now so you can carry them on your back -- not very comfortable with the weight of plate armor in it, though!

These two bags are a bit more than half full. Mine looks exactly like them.

Image -- shows the straps well. You can roll it down like that to help put things in easier.
