Looking for a ringmaille illustration

I remember seeing a picture (I believe it was a drawing or woodcut) of a man wearing a full ringmaille hauberk in the style of the bayuex tapestry. He had a normal shield and spear and the square on his chest.

I think it may have been from Ffoulkes, but I'm not sure. My websearches have come up flat.

Anybody know where I can find that pic?

I know that the concept of ringmail was simply a misinterpretation of maille in art. Doesn't matter to me for this project.

It was a conventionalized representation, in art. Go ahead -- just try accurately representing what mail looks like in embroidery in any reasonable amount of time and labor. Bad enough trying to draw it with a goose quill using ink! No wonder the Bayeux looks like it does.

Are there no online Bayeux Tapestry sites, covering from beginning to end? That would seem what you want to seek.

I completely agree with you. I would have simplified it too.
