Thanks guys!

I really enjoy the details I have found in Wades collection. He has been very generous with his time and access to his collection. Its a great selection of things to pull from. I probably get carried away with the "reproduction" aspect of armour making, which slows me down. But by doing so I'd like to think I learn something about the makers of the period and hopefully some of their technique & tooling. Thanks for that Wade.

Can't begrudge people wearing what they do to get on the field. Fighting is fun! Not everyone has the history gene that drives me to be as period as I can. I just hope that the ones that do look like they stepped out of the century they are reenacting serve as an inspiration to those who then look at their pajamas and say "I can do better than this!".

Llewelyn- No reason to be jealous. You have made some very nice stuff. Your elbows are coming along! The reason I do these tutorials in depth is to help people get an idea of the process to the final product. Show that any mortal with time and determination can figure out how to make these pieces happen. It would be much easier to post art shots of them complete and move on with my life.

I too look forward to the final product! Like I said earlier- the elbows are making the rest look like crap. The rest of my current arm harness is somewhere around 20 years old. I have a pair of spaulders in the works but those are stalled by my need for a cuirass to fit them too. Post Pennsic I hope to get those moved forward quickly. Soooo many projects!
