Simple gauntlet patterns

Hey everyone!
It's been a long while since I visited, life has been stupid busy.
Lately in my group, there has been an interest in Cut and Thrust combat.
So, I thought I'd make myself a pair of gauntlets. And I thought I'd like to share the pattern.
I wanted them to be easily made, and could be made as plain, or as fancy as the crafts-person wanted.
Since the finger lames are riveted to an internal piece of leather, they're easy-peasy to make and they articulate nicely.
Of course, if your skill level is up there, it would be a simple matter to articulate them to each other. It's up to you!
Hopefully, the links work..

The links are working, it may help to scan the patterns.
Estimating size/shape is a little tricky based on a skewed image.

In general things tend to workout a little differently depending on tools, techniques, and experiance.

Sorry, I have no way to scan the images.
And if you have an existing pattern for gauntlets, even half gauntlets (which is what I used for the cuff/metacarpal pieces) then estimating the finger lame size should be no problem.
Just trying to help those out there with limited access to patterns.

If it was as easy as you're making it out, lots of people would have gauntlets like that.

If so, where do we find a difficulty? (Haven't looked at the patterns and method either.) Tools and swedges? Dishing gear? Welder?
From the photos, looks like strap articulation, w/grounding fingerplates, given the rivet location that far back in the metacarpal. The rivets at the margins seem to be for holding a strap for each lame, vice the Society-typical two, the palm and out in the fingers. They'd be quite stabilizing on fingerlames otherwise secured to internal leather; method still allows for those who like to semipermanently stitch dedicated gloves into their gaunts.

Would it be possible to put the pattern pieces on a sheet of graph paper and then take a picture? That would allow for a good gauge of size.

Also, could you go into more detail about how you made the "finger-like" effect on the lames? (tools, techniques, etc.) Maybe create a how-to just for that part . . . with pictures of course.

Fearghus, looks to me like creasing-stake work, the finger bulges getting raised down on the stake with rounded or ball pein hammers.
