I found a piece of scrap mild steel on campus the other day. From the looks of it it's 10-12 and between 1-2 sq. feet. It will be a bear to cut, but what ever I turn it into will be very durable.
Any ideas on what to make? I was thinking a shield boss or a buckler, since I don't have a whole lot of tools or skill.

It's very likely that I will have to cut it with a chisel, so the less cutting the better. I just hope I won't have to planish much.
