A screenshot with windows sniping tool is usally small enough in size to attach. for more images per post you need to make use of a google pictures account. This came up before, read details here.

EDIT: NO, DOESN'T WORK

I'm not the tech wiz here, but perhaps I can help.

What are you trying? Are you working in the "full editor" mode? ("Full Editor&Preview" button below the "Quick Reply" box).

Both those images are blank for me. I pick any site which will host photos, upload them there, copy the url, and paste it here with img tags around it /img

For example, create humansArmourBlog.wordpress.com for free at https://wordpress.com/ upload the image as a Media

Code: Select all

e voila!

The idea behind this jack of plates project is one of the many ideas to bring armor into the modern era. I wanted to have an armored jacket and thought about how to do it and thought about brigandines and making panels of brigandine inside of a leather or denim jacket. After doing some research I remembered jack plates and realized that I could do that with the aluminum that I have and It would probably be easier and quicker to make as opposed to the brigandine and then sew the armored panels inside the denim jacket then se in a lining to cover it up.

and so far its going well, I have made a decent amount of plates and finished one of the front panels which is shown in the pictures

so after a week of not working on armor I'm back and have been sewing plates to the second front panel of the vest that will go inside a jean jacket to make an armored jacket. this is what I have so far today : Image and im going to keep working on it, after running out of tread I have started using paracord guts because they work just as well and I have alot of them. I haven't really detailed or shown the sewing here so far becuase it's pretty basic and I don't know how they would've done it period and it's boring.

until I post some more armor making stuff hopefully sometimes tomorrow, I was wonder how do floating arm harness's like this :Image

on gothic suits, how do the elbows attach to the rest of the arm harness, leather, laces, rivets, varying ways depending on the suit? I've been thinking about it for awhile and am pretty sure it's leather or lace, especially because I see laces on alot of them but didn't know if that was just to lace it to the gambeson or other arming garment.

Don't get confused. This and a few other suits have been photographed often, and their images mirrored at some point. This is the case here. It is on the right side of the wearers body.

so after leaving for a while, I'm back, with more armour and more pictures (that I know how to post), recently I've put my jack of plates on pause to work on an arm harnes and learn about floating elbows, this is said arm harness so far:

Whenn I was polishing the top of the lower cannon I shouldn't have used the orbital sander that I did, I now know that. The elbow was the same elbow from earlier in this thread I just tried heat bluing it and it worked for the most part.

another possibly exiting development in my jorney is that I now have a torch, so now I don't have to light a forge every time I need heat.
