Michael Bolan Legend Continues

Post by Brando »

For those of you that may or may not have heard about Mike and his dissapointing turn of events with customers, I have some good news. There have been several armorers that have stepped up and have helped replace some of the armor. To them I extend all of my thanks. I did receive much of the armor that I had ordered, but there is no strapping or leather finishing to some of the pieces. This is where i need some help. I have the tools, but lack the know-how. I have gotten some advice and information from some people. I was just wondering if anyone could offer advice as far as attaching leather to 3-piece articulated knee cops and elbow cops. I also need to attach strapping to a globose and backplate. If anyone could offer any sort of advice it would help me out TONS. I also need to know where to buy the leather for the strappings and attaching to the cops. I also need advice on what kind of rivets to use and things like that. Thanks for any help you can provide.

www.siegelofca.com has really good leather prices. I prefer latigo for straps, but other people prefer other types.

Take a look in the pattern archive for full arm and leg harness. You can use roughly the same shapes for your leather. Allow for a bit more overlap.
