Gambeson questions.

Post by Mad Matt »

Ok well I've been trying to get my wife to make me an arming doublet for quite a while now so hopefully some answers to these questions will give me some ammo since she's thinking of selling clothing on the net.

Now here's what I want her to make me. It'll be a test basically and if sucessfull then they'll be available from my site.

Exterior and interior shells made from an historically available material.

Stuffed channels method of padding as opposed to the quilted method.

Stuffed with 100% natural wool.

Now the questions. What's something like that worth. (I have absolutly no idea but this could be some good ammo for me.)

Would you be willing to pay a bunch more if it was hand sewn and if so roughly how much.

What kind of options other then what I mentioned above would interest you.

Hopefully some positive answers to these questions will be able to motivate my wife enough to make me one and possibly start taking orders for them. She's a stay at home mom to our 4 month old daughter and wants to find a way to make some money while still staying at home.

Also any suggestions on how I can get her to hurry up and make me one would be helpfull. Image

Hmm...
"...how to make her hurry up and make me one..."

Have someone order another just like it?

Sorry, no realistic help here, mostly just a bump for ya.
