Spinning Elbows

Post by malaki »

OK, I have steel elbows and they are great. I have a splinted vambrace attached to the one on my sword arm, and that helps a little bit, but they still slide down my arm and spin. I have one strap in the middle, going across the inside of my elbow, I used to have one further up my arm near my bicep, but that was even worse. My shoulders are attached to my torso armor, so I don't think I could attach the elbows to the shoulders without there being too many pieces to get tangled. Is there something I could do to keep them up and stationary?

You may have to deal with the tangled-ness and fasten them to your shoulders.

What I did instead is I got a set of those forearm pads from a sporting good store and wore them under my splinted vambrace. Then I tightened the straps down really tightly and I didn't have that problem anymore.

Yeah, the middle strap is either so loose that it spins and drops or it is so tight that I can't bend my arm.

Add points just above the elbow, and tie it in place. That'll stop the droop, and the spin.

woah... at first i thought you meant spinning as like a spun top.. and couldnt fathom how you would do such a thing.
then i read it.
uhm, my advice would be a fins some way to fasten it to the rest, and b point it in place.

but i dont know what i'm talking about really. i do stuff with trial and error.
so it's better to listen ot everyone else most likley.
anyways, i'm off to watch junkyard wars
