A while ago I had some requests for what brand of jigsaw blades I use...on account of me being happy and satisfied with using a jigsaw in a professional armouring workshop.
Well, I just needed to open a new twin-pack (which means the last blade in there lasted about 5 days, including some stainless work...actually it just died on plastic! I got distracted). So I can finally get around to passng on the brand name.
They are made by Marlin. And the specific brand "extra long life, bi-metal"
The only details listedd for the marlin company are in melbourne.
They are furiously cheap blades, running at about 50c US each.
They are white and made form a laminate of metal and ceramic. They have a 1.4mm pitch making them ideal for 16ga right up to 5mm steel.
I used one blade to cut the parts for a stainless steel helm in 2mm.
I like and recommend these toys. Good luck finding some.
oh yeah...I have only ever seen them with the bosch T-top heads.
They do really nice tight curves
