Wow, I had forgotten that I had these. Now for the first time ever on the archive. The transition of my SCA fighting kit.

We start off in 1994, in college having just started in the SCA. This, btw is the picture my mother refuses to replace.

Next a few years later I have some heraldry and some nicer gear. These pictures are in my backup helm because a jerk in a pickup truck squashed my sugarloaf, while it was in my trunk.

A little while later I finally have a helmet that suits my persona, so I make armour that suits it as well. Problem was that the armour fell apart after every fight. Now it sits in my living room. Oh, I was also baron, so that is me in the pointy hat.

I ducked under that last one and brought my shot up into his body.

Hmm, what shall the future hold. Real maille perhaps, not that indian stuff? A better way to protect my fingers? Better boots? Who knows.
