REVIEW: Lewis Moore Armoury (pics=cake)

Post by Guest »

No review can truly do this man justice. I just want to say that right off the top.

Lewis gets 10 stars out of a possible 5 star rating system.

Customer Service: Excellent
Shipping Time: Fast
Product Quality: Awesome

Wow.

Lemme just say Wow... a second time.

About a month ago... I ordered stainless arms, legs, and a stainless bascinet with interchangable klappvisor and grill. Lewis started immediately, and finished the stuff last week. I paid in full upon completion last thursday, and I got the armour yesterday.

It is exactly what we discussed. The arms and legs are solid, built well, have a full range of motion, the articulation is smooth, the edges are smooth, the rolls are beautiful, the riviting is solid and consistent, they may be a bit overstrapped for my tastes.... but we didn't discuss it, so no fault there...

The fit... the fit is perfect... like wearing a second skin. The helm is the closest fit to my head that an armourer has ever accomplished.

Pics? You want pics? sure...

Lemme say wow again first...

(my usual disclamer that I am NOT a photographer, and my skills at photography suck, so please excuse that)

Here is a close-up shot of the arm...

I'm gonna say it one more time:

Wow...

Broadway:

Commissioned a set of stainless poleyns and cops (similar to yours). They'll be mine by next week.

Lewis Moore - Knight's Armoury

Someone earlier pointed out the music on the page...lots of fun, especially for the "breast cups"---Wagner's "Ride of the Valkries"!

Lewis has made armour for me and is still making armour for me. He is great! I sold my Belg. Browning Hi-Power to get more from him ;-)

**** H E R E H E R E *****

I must agree, I also ordered a stainless bascinet,

* style is beautiful,
* the fit is great,
* Very Good quality,
* Service was the best of any armourer that I have purchased from on-line,
* Price is unmatched by any other armourer bar none....

If I was the consumer reports magazine he would get the Best Buy award and any other awards I could think of.

I would have posted pics but I was waiting for my avantail which I had ordered for the helm, I guess I don't need to post them because you can get the idea from Matt's helm.

I would recommend him very highly
Yours in service,

He may have bad taste in beer but he makes up for it with his taste in smokes! Are those Luckies I see? I smoked them for 10 years!

Bic lighter to melt the ends of the cord I've been using to lace my lamellar shirt with. I quit smoking over a year ago. I highly reccomend the "patch" to anybody who smokes...

The beer is the "low carb." Mich. Ultra. I've been running and working out for a while... and I find that I have less energy the next day if I drink real beer.

Low card ROCKS. I have been on the South Beach diet since January, as well as working out, and I have lost 16 pounds. That includes 3 weekends in a row of eating whatever I wanted.

:D

What ever happen to the armoured guy drinking a pint of stout and smoking a unfiltered smoke before a good fight? I guess he either died of cancer or scarosis (sp). Or maybe got tired of the big belly and cough whilst the "South Beach" diet guys were running circles around him. I am sure glad I cut down to newcastle and dejarum lights! :-)
