Actually, Dale posts on here occasionally. Contrary to what most people think about "plastic paladins" he's actually a nice guy.

I agree, that is nice looking armour. I think that if you wanted to, you could have him put a smooth polish on that stuff and definitely pass the 10 foot rule, as you would look like a guy wearing blackened armour

Damn! That's pretty nice looking for plastic. If I had the money I would have no problem investing in a harness like that.

At the risk of sounding like Gundo, I'll withhold comment.

Rrather than polishing, I would cover it in leather or velvet. If it is all covered in thin leather and you wear a tabard it can be difficult to pic out as plastic. I have seen some similar kits look REAL good when covered well.

Well designed and construction appears to be solid. Shoudl protect very well. And at 430 bucks for a complete kit, sans helm. Not to shabby!

Does any body know the specific gravity of the material being used?

I love the Churenburge style segmented breast plate (perpheribly in steel) but it doesn't have hip protection which I think is important as I am not padded there. So while looking at ephigies from the transition period I noticed the scale skrts and I think that would be the way to go for tassets with that style of armour what do you thing?

Besides that Dale does do a good job on the plastic stuff it the shape and form of it is nice but it is still plastic.

Just got his guantlets and am VERY happy w/em. A tad shiny right now, but the way my friends fight that won't last long Image

Put a bit of padding in them and they are great. Testing them out, my friend hit me full force a few times and had no problems. Thumb stung a bit, but...

I ordered a pair of his gaunts earlier this week. I fight polearm in Markland, where, as long as you are not wearing steel on your hands, you can punch your opponant-- the rules don't say ANYTHING about not punching with Kydex. Image Also, in Markland hands are legal, and "plate" is only occasionally proof against arrows. In my case, Kydex is the best of both worlds.
