A couple recent offernings

Post by white mountain armoury »

Here is a kettle hat with a removable grill. Comes on and off with a wrench in just a couple of min.
The helm is 13/14 ga mild, and the grill was heated in my kiln and oil dipped.
And a pair ot Trumptington style coutiers in 1050

That hat is MINE-MINE-MINE...and it looks beautiful! Thanks, Adam---can't wait to see the box on my porch.

BTW: I had Adam make the grill assembly removable so I could use the helm for LH as well as SCA combat.

Cheers,
Tim

WMA:

That removable grill is sweet. Tell me, how is it attached?
You said with wrench it will come off. I am assuming you have a nut and bolt set up but I can't see any bolts on the helm? Are they welded underneath? If so, do they interfer with the look of the helm when the grill is off?

BTW: How are the Bazubands coming? Any ETA on when you will start selling them and how much? :D

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

Beautiful work WMA, I was just checking out your website and your work looks very sweet. If it weren't for the fact that I am trying to learn to make armour like that I would probably buy one. Any words of advice you have for a budding armourer I would greatly appreciate it.
