I just bought these exact pair of spaluders, I have an idea of how I will attach them to my breastplate but i want a true armourers opinion.

I wear "field plate" so there is alot of open spots. two plates and leather straps connecting over the shoulders. I wa going to just rivet them to the leather straps but it's too high up. Any suggestions?

These spaulders look too heavy to rivet them to your shoulder straps. There's a good chance they'll be pulled down-not necessarily that it woudn't work, but it'd be clunky.

A better option would to attach them to a padded undergarment such as an arming cote or a pourpoint. Another would be to attach them to a gorget that had collarbone protection.

Any other ideas.

I attached mine to my gambeson. I sewed a couple of links of maille to the fabric, and then went over them all the way around. This makes for a nice tough point that is less likely to pull out.
