Hi Alexi,
Thanks for the link to the lovely pics. They are all 16th century (1501 - 1600) in origin, which equates to my understanding of when the form was in use.

Well the Polish one is probably mid 17th century, they realy didn't start to wear breast plates until around 1620...But I do agree with you on the dates of the others

Chef, change the decoration a wee bit, and make the bottom lames a bit less rigid on the breastplate, and that's pretty much on target for magyar anime as well.

Didn't know the web page, but have seen the artwork before. Vuksic is very, very good. I have quibbles with some images, but they're always, always very minor things.
Hungary and Croatia, like most neighbors, are intimately connected in terms of military history, and often parallel each other.
