Sallet and bevor problems

I started on another sallet friday, articulated tail, hinged visor, with a face plate about 3 inches down from the sights. The problem I am having with it is coming up with a lower face and neck protection. I wanted to go with a bevor, like I usually do, but because of the small area that the face plate covers, I cant put enough of the bevor under the helmet to protect me if I look up. I end up with an inch gap from the top of the bevor to the bottom of the face plate when I look up. I thought about having the bevor attached to the helm, but the sides of the helm flair out, so its virtually impossible without the bevor looking really screwed up. I'm probably going to have to put bars down there if I cant figure it out. Any suggestions on what to try?
Another problem I have is that even with the bevor and back gorget section of it, when I tild my head sideways there ends up being a big gap. Its not that much of a problem to me, but marshals have a problem with thrusts getting in there. How is this problem normally solved? thanks
