I have to disagree with you - these are not ASO's! By definition, an ASO is a chunk of something (usually soft steel or iron) that looks like an anvil but is not useful to work on. These, OTOH, don't resemble an anvil in any shape, and are actually useful for working on. I guess that would make them NASOs....

Actually, there are plenty of anvils throughout history that did not have a horn!

I figured ASO would get more attention than "hunk of steel", though .
