I don't remember off hand what they are called, but can anyone point me to some pics of woven top helms? These are the ones where the helm top is not solid, but composed of woven bands of metal.
I think these would be the one of the Valsgarde and Ulltuna helms from the Vendel Period in Sweden. For Valsgarde, Greta Ardwidsson the source; there are 3 books. Keep bothering me about it. Spring is here, and I am busy.
