Hi,

I had procrastinated on the cabins and was not able to get them, so I went to plan B and reserved 2 motel rooms for Saturday April 30 at the Apple Tree Inn which is within walking distance of the shop. The itinerary is:

Shop opens at 8AM Saturday April 30
Motel Check in is at 3PM
Shop will close up at about 7PM for dinner
Dinner at Poncho Villas in Julian to follow
Hang out the motel for the night or we can go back to the shop, there may even be live entertainment at Wynola Pizza Express across the street from the motel.

Sunday Shop opens at 8AM, motel check out at Noon
Shop closes up at 3PM.

If I can get a head cout to prepare for the motel space, I'd like to request some voluntary donations on the motel rooms.

I will have ample materials and tools to handle what we need to do, but and additional stuff would be welcome.

Hope to see you there.

Eric, I will not be able to make it down for this get together. I broke my hand tonight and will have a difficult time driving, and can not work on anything needing 2 hands.

I hosted a hammer-in once, specifically for our local fighter group, I didn't advertise as I wanted it to be small. I got what I wanted, two people showed up, none were from my local fighter group, and they both drove two hours from opposite directions to get to it, one worked on his mail shirt and the other talked about blacksmithing and the airplane that he was building in his barn, somehow, considering the fightergroup back then, I think I had more fun talking shop with folks who did things, than making armour for people who thought pickle buckets were god's gift to the sca.

*I should say advertise beyond our local group, folks in our eara certainly knew about it.*

I was holding off committing because I was expecting a visitor. I got the call last night that my mother is going to come visit.........on the 30th of April through the first week of May. This sucks. Nothing against mom of course, the timing just could have been better.
