Milled (or filed) from a block of steel. Slightly tapered. Then mounted on a long piece of 14ga spring steel.

As for the face in the helmet, That is not me, I think it's James Spader.
I do have a cast of my head and shoulders, but I couldn't find one that didn't have clay on it. So I used a stand in.
