go to the Palazzo Publico in Siena to look at the frescoes on the ceiling. Also, you're not far from Ferrara, where Fiore was for the later part of his life. Sorry I don't have any more specific things to recommend.

Hi Ingrid

You must go to Mantua/Mantova, and see all the 15th.c italian armour there.
It is the largest collection of italian late 15th.c armour in the world :shock:

Its all housed in Museo Diocesano Francesco Gonzaga very close to the Palazzo and the castello.

Go to Ferrara for sure, although there isn't really much in the way of armor, it is an amazing castle. If you can make it to Venice, check out the Doge's Palace. Most of the armor in there is 16th century, but there are some 14th and 15th century peices as well.

We skipped the Stibbert - didn't seem worth it. But the Bargello is cool. Both are in Firenze, but the Stibbert isn't exactly convenient to get to from the town center.

You SOOOO messed up! :shock:

It is very easy to get to, just grab the nearest cab... or public transport.

Museo Stibbert is Beautiful! Friendly staff, as well.

Churburg is only open certain times of the year from my understanding... and it is NOT easily accessible!
